This side of October, or t'other? I came sooo close to getting the HTC Hero because my gadget-lust was getting twitchy. Glad I waited, but now I'm really desperate.

Is there a list of the "selected markets"?

When the n800 came out, anyone in Europe could order it from the Nokia website and get it sent by courier. Myself and a colleague (both in Vienna) ordered ours at the same time. We had a nail-biting DHL-tracking race across Europe.

I have one word to say: MAGNIFICENT.

But some elements disturb me (yes, I am an eternal troublemaker):

- No support for SIP and Jabber?

- No Free and Open protocol for synchronization with the PC?

- No support for LDAP, WebDAV or CalDAV to synchronize calendar, notes, tasks and contacts by the Web?

- Held N900 vertically can make a phone call. So we can't use the rest of the OS vertically with one hand?

- No support for Free formats (Ogg Vorbis, Ogg Theora and FLAC)?

- Not Wifi?

And also:
What part is free, what part is not? Pour savoir ce qu'on peut améliorer ou pas.

If anyone has any answer, I'll feel better (I'm worried now)

Here's the latest from Gizmodo;
http://gizmodo.com/5346818/nokia-n90...n97-look-silly

The $700 price tag is extreme. It needs to be heavily subsidized by mobile carriers or something. The top of the line netbooks are $500 max. What's the reason for the huge price difference. Is it the low number of units sold, the cellphone hardware, etc?

It's now on the Nokia Europe web-site.

Shame my only planned visit to Europe is before it comes out!

You are welcome. And I hope you did not miss Anssi Vanjoki quote: "The Nokia N900 shows where we are going with Maemo and we'll continue to work with the community to push the software forward."

One question - what about localized versions? The N810 had localized versions/keyboards, how about the N900?
