Hei all,

my name's Otto and I'm working for Maemo @ Nokia. I'll be one of the PMs participating in the co-creation project and really excited about it as I believe this could become something unique.

I'll be looking into and around the content discovery/access part. I think there's a lot to be done with providing easy access to content and increasing its relevancy. And yes, services and online content should play a large role here.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Please provide an audio/video styreaming of the event (using Ustream.tv, Justin.tv ecc....) for people not being able to attend the event.

ContextKit seems very relevant and useful for this. Would it be possible to have some high-level info on what is possible with it in Fremantle in time for the co-creation project? Even if there's not time to prepare something, the GCDS presentation slides will be helpful.

Hi everybody,

Just want to mention one more thing on the screening process of participants for the expert co-creation session on the 8th of October:

We will screen co-creation workshop candidates also by their activity on discussing the selected topics in talk.maemo.org. This will help us get to know you, learn about your way of thinking, personality and knowledge about the topic.

The first discussion is now active, you can participate in it here.

cheers,

Marieke

For the expert session, within TNO ICT there is a lot of expertise concerning mobile technologies, new service development, usability etc. If you'd like to talk about this, don't hesitate to contact me at martijn.staal [ a t ] tno.nl

The update at this point:
  • I'm collecting all your input on the first discussion topic (which is a very interesting read indeed!), which will also be used as input for and stimulant during the co-creation session (I'll share the document with you when finished)

  • A second discussion topic will be posted this week, in which I - now I'm back - can participate more myself as well.

  • The search for participants for the co-creation session will continue:

p.s: you can use the wiki if you want.
Using Andy80's idea, I'll create a list here of all Maemo members who would like to participate in the co-creation session the 8th of October. This way you can check if you are on the list and who else is. I'll explain into more detail what we are looking for and you can still apply yourself and recommend your peers.

  • 'Behind the scenes' we are now making the set-up for the co-creation session and the workshops during the Summit.

That's it for now,

Marieke

I don't know yet what do you think about my ideas and if I would be the right person give a presentation on this stuff the day 8th, but I can tell you I'll be at the Summit, since it looks like I'm getting sponsored anyway (official announce will follow as soon as possible by Maemo Council).

The only problem is that I'll arrive the 8th and leave on 11th. Nokia pays only for three nights, so I cannot be present the day 8th too early

Anyone, if you find my ideas interesting, please feel free to discuss them (only quote my name as source ).

Thanks!

Cool that you get sponsored!
Just to clarify the co-creation session on the 8th: in this session participants will work together with Nokia on new concepts. Everybody can share their ideas with the group, but not so much in a "presentation-setting". Some parts will be done plenary, other parts in sub-groups. All ideas that are shared now on this platform, will also be used as input for the co-creation session.

What's happening here online right now is more like a brainstorm, where all ideas are welcome and everybody can think freely. I can certainly say that your ideas are very interesting & make a very good input.
During the whole day of the co-creation session, we'll work from these kind of ideas towards more concrete concepts that have the highest potential of succeeding. This will again be shared with everybody during the Summit and online, after which these concepts can be further developed.

So please continue sharing your thoughts & ideas, because they are highly appreciated and next to that: all ideas are a good trigger for other ideas!

This really is unfortunate, because to be attending the co-creation session, you have to be present the whole day from 9:00 till 18:00. We really cannot make exceptions for that...

I would prefer this way, that's fine!

Oh

Well... that's fine anyway. My ideas are under CC license
You can use them in any way you want, just write my name

If I've any other idea I'll post here, by the way... I've seen (or known somewhere...) that some of ideas I had in mind are a work-in-progress and that's really good
