That is why I prefer such apps without an intervening server, but AFAIK these are not for phones yet.
Why would 8 or even 16 seconds delay matter that much when you are streaming (read: not conferencing)?

When after the 16 seconds the video does display preferably non-jerky, and not that the browser shows the vid for 1 second and then freezes or closes the video player or issues errors.
When you watch e.g. cnn or another tv station videos these problems do not occur.

They also don't occur when I use Livecast on my N810.

You mean using the browser on the N810 or the cam and Livecast app on the N810 ?
In the latter case, does the desktop browser show the live video fluently (i.e. not jerky or stuttering or stopping and starting the video player ) ?

Um OK, this app is not for you then...

It works amazingly well for me... but then again, I'm a simple, old school kinda guy from
back in the day when producing a video of a live event and posting it for anyone in this world to see, less than a minute after it happened was a big thing.

You know before they invented the warp drive and everyone carried a blaster.

Anybody else having problems with the livecast app? Stopped working for me. No image from the Camera and a problem connecting to the server.

I haven't used it in awhile... Is their web page still up?

Yeah the website is up. They seem to have a bunch of betas up but there is no mention of support for tablets in the "supported devices" page and the tablet link spawns an e-mail to request to be a part of the beta testing. I knew I should have kept the installer around.

Edit: I found it... see attached.
