Yawn a device due out maybe in 2011. Pass - I think I will stick with one that will be out in < 1 month and is already showing itself to be an amazing device.

Everyone seems to be immediately defensive of Maemo here (and why not, this is maemo.org) with this new "competition" coming to town. Maybe, this isn't necessarily a bad thing to have Samsung working on it's own Linux OS: Last time I checked the reason we all were so excited about Maemo being linux based is that it can share programs throughout the linux world. Maemo may benefit from Samsung's OS. Think about it: more linux programs for ARM devices that may be a simple recompile (or less) away from compatibility with Maemo.
Simply Put: This is an excellent opportunity to compLete Maemo with the help of Samsung's OS, not necessarily to compete against it.

My main man Beldor tells me that a totally new company will be releasing a phone in 2014 that will make the 2011 Samsung look ancient by comparison.
In fact they don't even call it a "mobile phone". He says they call it a "mobile Cuisinart" or something.

When ever I get the "sorry you don't have the latest flash player" I get sent to adobe where it says to download flash 10 for Linux.
If this Samsung tablet has flash 10 then I can totally understand feeling the sw is better. My N810 plays probably less than 5 percent of the videos on the internet (no flash 10 and no divx). That is very annoying. Youtube is not the only video website on the net, there are hundreds of video sites. If I was making a tablet flash 10 would be one of my top priorities so I would put considerable resources towards it plus a divx app.

The n810 doesn't really have enough power to do flash video to be honest, it just manages you tube (but I agree it is annoying).
Second I think it likely that if the n900 does as well as it looks like flash 10 will not be too long away, as I would assume it is probably one of a few top priorities by Nokia.

Nokia is not making Flash. Adobe is.
Or do they do the ARM version for "free" like the x86 version?
I was assuming that Nokia push adobe to do it, rather than waiting for adobe to do it.
