Right now, the latest message is displayed at the top of the screen, so in a sense, you have to read everything backwards.

Again, it would be really nice to have everything displayed in the exact same format like how you would find it in Pidgin.

Thanks!
If you could, it would be helpful for me if you could post on the Garage feature request section. It helps keep all interested parties in the loop and without being lost in this thread among a bunch of other conversations.

While its still in the t.m.o thread, for clarification are you referring to the "Messages" tab or the two dialogs after you select a message (one being asking what you want to do and two being the sms entry dialog, both display a specific conversation history).

The two dialogs do scroll to the bottom and show the most recent message in a conversation last and is somewhat similar to a Pidgin conversation.

The Messages tab shows the most recent conversation first but has no Pidgin analog. As a side note, displaying the most recent conversation first with the most recent message in a conversation last is exactly like GoogleVoice's webpage and GMail Threaded Conversations.

I would be willing to check over the files but I would appreciate it if first you did a quick run through for personal information. I don't like even having the hint of appearance of farming information.
Will run the script...no problem scanning for personal info...would be interesting to see the process in this manner
Thanks

Care to explain?
I would prefer to not even look like I'm harvesting the data for personal information that could be used. I already feel bad enough my Dialcentral logs contain phone numbers but I feel that for browsing my own logs its important and I don't have a good idea of what I should do instead.

I also turn away when people type in passwords even though I'm not good enough to watch what they type to deduce the password and I refuse to accept passwords from family members when they offer them.

Well, I personally would rather have someone like LaughingMan post the feature request since I'm having a hard time finding the words to explain this.

It seems like he understands what I'm talking about more than me.

Would it be possible, in the messages tab to have it display the messages like the GV page does, as in displaying only the first and last two messages of each conversation, with a little button to expand/close the rest of the messages?

How do I use this script? I tried 'python2.5 generate_gv_samples.py' and get a syntax error on line 41.

Drat, I accidentally slipped a python2.6 feature in. Hopefully this version works a little bit better.

Somebody has made a feature request for collapsing messages. After thinking about it some more I realized there is a user scenario where this is pretty much essential. Feel free to add your thoughts about how it should work to that feature request or other scenarios where this feature is essential.

Sadly something else I noticed recently is that callback selection doesn't display the phone description anymore. I also need to get that back in. Sorry I slowed down after 1.0.6-10 was released. I'm trying to catch up on another project idea.

Better. All the files are not_loggedin_* which makes me ask the question, is this script supposed to be able to log me in? Where does it get my info? Since DialCentral can't log me in, it never saves my info anywhere.
