I really can't believe Nokia hamstrung the N900 by not supporting real 3G bands in the US.

I have found some higher att edge speeds before but the latency always blows hard

t-mobile edge is actually quite a bit faster than att in my experience, so that is some consolation

I think they underestimated the interest the US market would have for a device like this.

My speed isn't much better, but damn posting is so worth it just for the 3G icon.

The rest of us have trouble believing that the US can't just use standards that virtually the entire rest of the planet has agreed on.

I'm wondering if there will ever be the proper antenna technology to cover all the frequencies. Do qualcomm or nokia have the technology, but have patent worries?
