Description
At Nokia we are currently looking for an IT Engineer to participate in the development of mobile devices based on GNU/Linux and other open source technologies. The development teams utilize components from various open source pools and enhance these components in open source development projects. If you have the skills and qualities we're looking for, you will be part of an infrastructure team that is responsible for maintaining and improving the system that supports the development process.
Your main responsibility will be to manage the servers that are running the applications used in every day work by the whole organization, develop automation tools, and improve our service offering. The objective of your work is to ensure that the needs of the organization are met so that development takes places as smoothly as possible and without interruptions of any sort. You will also take on the task of supporting / tutoring the end users of our systems.
Qualifications
To make the most of this opportunity, you have 3+ years' experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably on Debian GNU distribution in SW developments projects. Additionally, you have hands-on experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting a wide range of applications such as Apache, MySQL, LDAP, Subversion. You are very familiar with scripting languages (especially POSIX shell and Python) and with the Django framework and Debian packaging. You also have strong experience in the administration of Mailman, GIT, Trac, and Bugzilla.
You enjoy teamwork and working closely with internal customers to find solutions for their needs. You are a fast learner as well as a patient and organized individual with excellent problem-solving skills. In order to communicate effectively with your international colleagues, you are fluent in written and spoken English. A solid performer with a strong drive to meet targets, you enjoy learning new and expanding your skills and knowledge.
