Would it be possible to remove the Off Topic threads from the Active Topics sidebar?

Would it be desirable by readers?

Same questions for the more... link.

And for the grand prize, could these choices be user preferences?

If you clean the forum from the off-topic threads, who would then read them?

It's not like people check the off-topic section out... on purpose.

I recall this being requested before, and since nothing changed I'm assuming the consensus was to leave it as is... but I don't recall all the arguments pro and con offhand.
