I've noticed that the FM audio output is in mono. I've tried using different headsets but no stereo audio output. Also one needs to use a headset that has a microphone for it to be an effective antenna.

Worked fine and in stereo/strong signal with my Shure E2Cs... are you sure you have the jack pushed all the way into the socket? It needs a firm push before it goes all the way in.

Yes I have the jack as far as it can go. Maybe am in an weak reception area. Will run some more tests.

2 sets of earbuds and a set of Bose QC2s (yeah, I was young and stupid) and all of them get great reception and have stereo.

OK, my error. It was my location that cause the mono reception on 99% of the stations. Thanks for the quick replies.
