If I were Nokia I would try to impose terms on my distribution channel around preorders to avoid this kind of customer dissatisfaction driver, but maybe they can't. We'll see if those N900's show up at BB retail before all preorders across the channel are fulfilled. If they do, I'll be trying to grab one!

Maybe before, but with Circuit CIty closed down and Fry's growing, they've stepped up their service big time.

You can get 5% back if you access BB via Discover Card's web site, and order for in store p/u. Every little bit helps when you live in Chicago, where the sales tax is an astounding 10.25%.

Great Odin's Raven!

Also: that BB will have it is very good news, getting undecided phone browsers interested in it is much easier in person.

Lol they need to update their prices on the older Nokia phones.. The N95 NAM (not the 8gb) is still 642.99!!!! More expensive than the N900! lol

I'm glad that my local stores don't have the N900 in stock. I would have no way to resist the urge of canceling my Amazon preorder and paying the $50 extra.

Wow. This is telling of the N900. Best Buy has a very prompt site team that manages the HTML for their store front. They actually manage the web front as its own profit center seperate from their stores.

Their buyer must not have received a very good supply update. They do not just populate a product and then take it down unless they have a reason to do it.

I think there will be many pi55ed off people within the next two months. I think Nokia is not being as straight about the N900 status as they could be.

Nope. The device was pulled. Not getting a good vibe that we will have the N900 before December now.
