Ups delivered my N900 this morning and I have to admit. I'm immensely impressed.

I have never owned a device where I've been unable to put it down hours after I've hit the power button.

If I could suggest something for maemo to include in it's next fw update it would be to fix the checkered page I have (at times) experienced when scrolling through web pages.

But bar that I am thoroughly impressed. So just wanted to say congrats to everyone that stayed the course in what seemed like a never ending wait lol

And a big thank you to the maemo team.

Oh and while I'm here could someone tell me how to get the super nintendo emulator

Near the top of your screen you'll notice a white box with the letters S-e-a-r-c-h in it. Type in 'nintendo emulator' and then press the orange Go button.

N900 possesses you, hence why it's difficult to put it down.

Yeah I've hit the search button and have come across a number of threads which seem to have a number of different nes emulators.

And since I just got this device after a long wait. I'm not going to brick it by installing any link at random?

So with alll sarcasm aside, if someone could point me in the direction of the nes emulator it would be greatly appreciated.

Open your browser in N900 with this address: http://repository.maemo.org/

And click 'install' link on Fremantle Extras-devel

I would HIGHLY recommend NOT TO! extras-devel repository is for highly unstable releases and should not be used by common users!

extras-testing is better choice, but those are too for testing purposes only!

Its really easy to mess up your phone, if you install stuff from those repositories! DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

So, after you install the repo and install DrNokSnes, disable the extras-devel repo.

I agree. I don't even think all those packages in extras-devel have been optified yet, meaning that may fill up your device's root partition in a hurry. Best avoid it unless you really know what you are doing.
