And I don't like the new Concept from webOS.

I used to have a Palm. Palm III, I believe. Must have been like an eternity ago. I remember buying thinking "OK, it's expensive, but I'll be using it for many years." Yeah right. A year later I had a Palm V. Sorry about forgetting that OS. Don't think polls are changeable so it goes under "others."

been S60 v3 since the N80. had N80, 95 and now e90

Desktop wise, I run a variety of Linux based systems, been Linux only since Mandrake 7.1. Even the wife got fed up of XP updates screwing up her laptop nearly every time and has now been Ubuntu alone for ~ 12 months

Heck, even my iPod runs Linux!

I was watching teh OpenMoko project for ages but it simplyran out of steam and progress at teh wrong time so when it did launch it was a mile behind the market.

I'm moving to Maemo from Symbian S60 3rd (E71) and 5th Edition (N97), as well as Android 1.6 (current primary phone).

Coming from a S60 3rd ed device. It's pretty flexible, but as with a lot of 3rd edition devices, the phone generally feels underpowered and the OS sluggish. Can't wait for my N900 to arrive, as I have a fair amount of experience with Linux as a desktop user and an administrator.

What would be the reason to abandon Android?

more support for open standard application frameworks, truly open platform, better imaging hardware than available on any android device, better multitasking management, full Linux OS...

Why would you ditch your 3GS? Do you think the n900 is really that much of a jump up? Just curious.
