When this option is on, your current location will be added to the end of your status message, like this: "I am hungry @ Helsinki, Finland".

The location resolution is completely up to the system providing the human readable texts to GPS coordinates. So setting the level might not actually give away the street you are in, but just the city instead.

It's simply displayed at the end of your status message is XMPP. Don't know about Skype as I don't really use it.

Does anyone know how to enable this location service, when only using the MSN plugin ?

Unfortunately the location is just a string which the messaging bits tack onto the end of your status message, XMPP is not supported on many servers, so won't work atm and therefore isn't used.

Shame though, as it would be good to be able to parse the lat/lon data and overlay contact locations on a map app.

Same way as with all the others, choose how detailed you want it under Availability (the menu where you set status messages) and it'll tack the location onto your status.

Anyone had issues with getting a GPS Signal? Since I got it, my N900 has not been able to lock on for some reason even in places where my N95 could...
