Hello, I am very happy with VGBA except that I don't like the default controls. I want them to be similar to an actual console: directions to the left (WASD or WAXD) and action buttons to the right. But I couldn' find how to change key bindings. It's not in the menu.

How do I change the keys? Is there a config file?

No it doesn't seem like it.

For us with only 2 arrow keys, it almost renders this excellent emulator useless

Super Mario is garbage cuz there is no customize buttons and the screen is not fullscreen.

I'd love to have some option to remap hardware keys too...

None of the emulators allow diagonal map settings and the KB layout makes two key presses for this movement not practical.

Super Mario is garbage right now because the emulator plays it too slow anyways. Very odd emulator.

For the N900 to be such a haven for games and emulators, it is off to a weak start due to the control options, compatability and performance of them.

The 3430 is a beast compared to the 7201, but the G1 plays almost every game smoother, supports zipped files, diagonal controls, better scaling and more games actually work.

I know it is early, but Maemo has been around a while and the emulator options are weaker than a one year old OS with tons more overhead to work smoothly.

Sorry, my poor 2G reception with the N900 has made me cranky.

Since I have a german keyboard I also have only two arrow keys. But for the usage of the emulator you can change the keyboard layout in the Settings to "English" then you have all four arrow keys.
