I hope so.

The bug was closed and moved to Brainstorm (which is currently down) with little justification in my opinion. Nobody - as far as I know - has actually created a Brainstorm for this bug so it's effectively dead until somebody does. Assuming a Brainstorm is created for it, I'm fairly confident the same solution that is comment #13 will be suggested and, I'm pretty sure, it will be accepted with the most votes... So, redundant, much?

For such a simple no-brainer enhancement which already has a clear cut solution, I don't believe Brainstorm is required for this bug (this isn't the first example where trivial bugs have been booted to Brainstorm never to be discussed again).

The reason for pushing an enhancement to Brainstorm is that bug.maemo.org is for "bugs and only very specific and no-brainer enhancement requests" (my emphasis).

I strongly believe that bug #5797 falls into the no-brainer enhancement category - there had only been a very small amount of discussion before it got shunted out of b.m.o. I'm hoping to have this bug reopened, and a significant number of votes may render the argument for a Brainstorm moot.

Note: I'm not against Brainstorm per se, it's just that for trivial/no-brainer enhancements like this there is really no point and think this particular bug was pushed too soon.

I'm really fed up with all this ****. I love the phone, but Nokia needs to realize just because they have something allot of people want releasing a product with the same 'Shitty *** CS and product support' is not going to bump them back up in the cell world.

I've been very reserved up until now with voicing complaints as I didn't have any issues before, probably because I didn't download PC Suite or NSU.

**** it, returning the phone for full refund. Will revisit the product over summer to see if it's gotten any better though I doubt it considering Nokia half the time doesn't know wtf is going on their regions.
Ha - by summer perhaps more will realize that Femantle is in maintenance mode and all effort is pretty much on Maemo 6. All the WONTFIXs and throwing every little basic thing over the wall to brainstorming, sorry, debatestorming, isn't going to buy customers much. Oh, and interesting how they treat customers in bus and talk like, well, not customers (you know, the people that you need to run a business).

I'm still confused why a debate forum is called "brainstorming" and why adding an option to let users choose "do you want email delete confirmation on or off?" "do you want the phone to just ring through the headset when connected, the handset or both?" (and there are A LOT of etceteras) requires it to go to brainstorming instead to see if it should be implemented one way or the other rather than giving PAYING CUSTOMERS a choice. I am utterly dazed over this. Let's see: Option A nn% of customers will be happy, Option B a different nn% of customers will be happy, either option has unhappy customers and Option C: allow customers to make their own choice for something this simple and 99% of customers are happy. Hmmm, Option C is too complex and makes no sense - let's throw A and B in debatestorming and watch the show. Anyone want popcorn with your Monster whilst we watch?

So, by this summer it'll pretty much be the same, but with 5 more apps in Ovi (1 usable), more new icons and most development stopped because the N9nn with Maemo 6 will be getting ready to ship. However, based on the N97 and the huge N900 debacle, I'm fairly certain pre-orders will be minimal. Personally, I've owned who knows how many Nokias over the years (incl. N85, N97, N8*0 that I still have) and unless there are some MAJOR changes and the WONTFIXes magically appear, this'll be most certainly my last Nokia (I'm sure since I appeared on maemo they'll be happy). But, for now, I'm morbidly observing what appears to be a train wreck going from just coming off the tracks to bursting into fire...

I'm waiting to see what PR1.1 brings us before I throw it in a drawer for good (since I couldn't even get $400 for it on ebay) and carrying a backup so I can use BT :-)

im just wondering if this update is to set the road for this big PR1.1 then how long are we to wait for it.

Really want to use my three sim card, But can't until they release the update.

im guess it has to be soon as what would be the point of releasing this update.

I just hope its released soon and that they didnt release this update to make us think that they are actually doing something.

COME ON NOKIA GET PR1.1 OUT NOW!!!!

I think that summed up your grumpy little post there. Eventually the trolls will go back to their steel-barred and shackled iPhone gardens soon, I hope.
