Well, when I tried to open the add-on page on my N900, the whole device crashed. So I'm not gonna go near that again

Otherwise this seems like a fantastic browser. Can't wait for the final.

Yes - some seemed to work ok - though overall I found the response time of the browser to be slow. Not so much rendering the pages but detecting clicks and taps.

pretty good browser in some senses.

like the intuitive left right slide thing.
how do i access bookmarks though without starting a new tab?

would like more precise zooming capabilities, its a bit ghetto so far but I'm sure it will improve.

something i really like though is the TEXT WRAPPING capabilities are much better than on the N900 browser.

Wow, what a total disappointment. After installing, the program didn't even run until I rebooted the device. After rebooting, not only does it take ages to load, but once it's "running" it is completely unresponsive. Compared to the built-in browser this thing is utterly useless. I couldn't get it to render a single webpage.

I wanted to chime in here real quickly.

Fennec performance was terrible. It seems that after the PR1.1 update it is quite the usable browser. I think I have permanently switched, in fact.

Fennec looks like something that will give the N900 even more cachet (and relative cachet too, given that N900 and N810 are the only recipients to begin with).

It says in the ad copy that it is location-aware. Are popular web sites, such as Google Maps, able to use this capability? In other words, can Google Maps replace Ovi Maps ancient-red-headed-step-child-N900-version?

Also, is there a corresponding Thunderbird mobile equivalent?

I'll be trying it again, then. I was excited to install it the first time last week but quickly removed it when the performance issues became obvious. I do think that adblock was a big component of the slowdown because disabling it seemed to make using the browser almost tolerable.

Startup time is still slow-ish. But once running, the performance is comparable to the builtin browser.

And tabs and the awesome bar are both awesome.

There is no more twirl-to-zoom in firefox, which I don't think I miss. Double tap to zoom in and out, fyi.

Click and hold to open in a new window also does not exist... which I also miss some. This only worked sporadically in the built-in browser anyway though.
