Hi All

Is it possible to create a WiFi point on the N900 using the 3g connection ? i used to be able to do this on my old omnia via a small app for windows mobile. basically it braudcasts a wifi point for laptops etc to use using the 3g connection. very handy little app. can this be done on the N900 ?

Cheers Jay

Not possible by default, but some people had a look at it, and it's apparently possible (though still a bit hairy - you have to use a user-supplied kernel)

Not sure how that would pan out after the 1.1 upgrade, though..

Joikuspot is slow as the dogs as you have to use their terrible servers - I hope someone else gets there first.

Check out http://wiki.maemo.org/User:Jebba, item 6.

The technology to have the N900 acts as a WiFi access point routing to the outside world, It's manual, so you can have it now *if* you're ready to jump in.

Jebba's done some really good. work.
