The appointments database somehow got corrupted when I upgraded. I replaced it from backup and now everything's fine.

I've followed Seqretary, and seen it mature quickly.
Especially I like the navigation and layout !
You use the screen much more efficiently, than e.g. GPE calendar.
In order to start using it seriously,
there is one thing I miss in the day and 5-day windows :
An event outside the displayed time (e.g. 8-23) does not show unless I scroll the time.
I would like either a maximum of 24 hours (possibly with a smaller typeface).
or some kind of highlighting. e.g an arrow or coloured bar at the top/bottom of a day to show that there are more appointments to be found by scrolling time up/down.
But I do recognize your desire to keep the app. lean !
( A suggestion for the layout of the 5-day window :
Month+Year might be abbreviated, e.g Jan 2010 , and put to the left of the first day-name.
If the first day-name is then moved a bit to the right, the text wouldn't look cluttered, but of course not as nice as now.
Advantage: one more row of text in the calendar.
Disadvantage: Month+Year not so obvious to the eye. )

It appears I spoke too soon. Even with the latest version, when an alarm goes off, my desktop applets all crashed.

Are you planning to port to N900/Mameo 5 platform ?
We really need a better calendar / PIM app. The ideal SW would integrate with standard Calendar, contacts and Modest email apps and/or DB data and expand their functions and features.
I think that this will be a killer app and many business men will pay for such a SW, with good sync functions (through Mailfor Exchange) with Exchange servers.
