I bought this screen-protector for $5 locally in Toronto a few days after getting the N900 and it applied well with a perfect fit too. I botched it a bit since I was expecting at least about half a milimeter clearance which was no where to be found.

Should I change over to one of these, since I have 3 of them now anyway?

Or should I continue using the first one? I figured since I paid $5 for it I might as well get some use out of it. When light is reflected I get some multicolored horizontal streaks and when reading small text the right side seems a little blurry but come on, $5

In the past I have used Martin Fields Screen protectors for my Sony Clié. They are great but costs a fortune and so applying them is a nerve racking business. I fitted my first one badly and thought I would put up with it for a while. However every time I looked at my device, or when i was showing other people I would have to apologise for the crappy screen protector.

So it lasted a few days before I snapped and put the second one on, this time it went on perfectly and was hard to tell if there was even a protector on.

Moving to the N900 I bought a pack of cheap protectors from ebay as Martin Fields do not make one for the n900 yet. The first one went on badly and looked awful. I took it off immediately as it costs pence and the 2nd one went on perfectly and IMHO is as good as the MF one.

So I think I will stick with the cheapies and at that price I can replace them monthly and the screen will always look as new

So I think you have to replace the one you have, it is already bugging you or else you would not have posted

You can get the first one in Toronto at Pacific Mall, the North-East corner harbors a few stores. I think I got it from the most cornered store.

They asked $10 for it but I got it for $5. Perhaps you can print the picture I posted it and show it to them saying something like: "My buddy got this screen-protector from you for $5. I want one too".

While you're at PMAll you may want to visit the other cell stores to sample about 5 cases for the N900, all at around $15. They represent %80-90 of what's available on E-Bay.

I haven't had the necessary guts or time to install the Vikuiti. From what I have read it is very good.

I'll keep the Superguard a while longer, at least until I get the Bluetooth Keyboard to work with the N900 because when I type the slight blurriness of the right side drives me crazy.

For now,

I'm not in Toronto, but I got one off EBay that looks exactly like the one you have. It is thick relative to the Cleartec, and went on with very few bubbles because of the protective films it had on both sides. After 2 weeks of use, it is bubble-free, 1-2 light scratches. Touch, sensors, etc. work great. I'd leave it on.
