the ui, is what its all about- iphone created a phone with functions that the n95 had- but made them all usable(i had the n95 and although it browsed it had email gps etc. it was to fiddliy and slow.. it was like trying to run crysis on a netbook
and dont forget the multitouch either..
yep your right creative and i think even archos were b4 apple in the portable hard drive player stakes, but apple make things so well and usable.. if it wasnt for apple we wouldnt have probally had android or maemo on mobiles

Well there is thengoing dispute between Nokia & Apple so one might argue that they still don't know what a phone is! The only thing Apple did that was revolutionary with the iPhone was the UI. Even some of the gesture control interface was nicked from Creative!

Yeah yeah, he gave '2 of 10' to Maemo, '9 of 10' to iPhone OS. So in my book, it means "I'm completely idiot, who doesnt have any idea about neither Maemo, nor GNU/Linux. Give me a simple user interface, its enough." Sorry, I'm honest about it.

I don't think many software development houses will invest time and money developing novel software products for this device, when the open-source community will try to reverse engineer and redistribute your intellectual property for free
i don't have a problem with him saying the device is for enthusiasts, but to throw the OSS community in one big pile with warez criminals, is just NOT ok.

Yes I lost that point until people start posting that they managed to break those flaps. This desing on the N900 is almost as bad as the one on the Razr V3.
