It's an Apple A9 processor (a customized ARM9). Reference: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles...d_cpu_gpu.html

Someone pointed out that mindmapping software should be ported to iPad. I agree, that e.g. Mind Manager would be really nice to use with that kind of display. I do all my meeting notes with mind mapping, but I'm not conviced that that ergonomics would be there for a three hour meeting.

Theres not much else going on right now tho! Its got a few good tricks but still in dev having sold many thousands of devices by now is probably not sensible for Nokia. Thats another thread tho lol
Many people - "normal" user - would be happy with integrated chat with all the major messenger services such as MSN, AIM, Yahoo, Skype, Gtalk, ICQ, etc as well as Facebook chat. The latter would kill it for many users. And tight integration with Facebook... With added Skype, and perhaps even voice calling over Yahoo and MSN (I'm not sure if the other messengers support that)... I think this would take off with the young crowd who like to text, browse, take photos/videos and upload to youtube etc.

Sort that out (ie. adding the other clients, and perhaps even enable the front facing camera) and advertise it on the back of that as perfect for those with a social life and networks.. they will be pleasantly surprised with what else they can do with the phone.

It's the others like me and lots of people on this forum that want so much more

That's how they handled the origami(UMPC) and it blew up in their face as the pricing was too high and along came the cheap netbooks & 13/14 inch laptops.

Given people's response and the overall praise it recieved MS would be crazy not to oversee it. And when I consider that they make a gaming system, pmp and phones. It's really not so far fetched -afterall.

PS: I think having the n900 itself is a better choice for not going for an ipad..but if its something fancy in the market u wanna purchase..id be waiting for the m11x..and yeah its not called the mpad or crap despite being only eleven inches wide

The Apple A4 is alleged to be using a Cortex-A9. But until Apple officially detail what is in it it's all just speculation - I still wouldn't be surprised to find out it's a PowerPC

One thing is for sure it's definitely not an ARM9 (that's a Nokia 770 class CPU!)
