I add a second vote for the use of Neuvasync.
I use it for google calandar and contact sync and it has worked flawlessly.

hi evad i just tried it again. at first i thought it didnt work becaue my desktop cal widget didnt show anything. but once i went into the calendar app i saw my new event in there. so it could be just the widget?
