I've had my N900 for 2 weeks now, and it is the best fone i've ever used so far... I am familiar with some programming languages, but i didn't use Linux before, so i guess i am a noob when it comes to linux. (though i modified some stuff in the N900 by replacing the original files using Winscp)
so im missing some stuff when i follow the guide... i got the root access ( i think it is gained when you enter "sudo gainroot") but when i enter "./maemo-scratchbox-install_5.0beta2.sh –u USER -F" i get permission denied... also some files do not exist on my system such as "/boot/grub/menu.lst" and the sysctl file which are modified to force the scratchbox installation .. i've been trying to install scratchbox for a week and i don't even think that im close to installing it!
Actaully i think i get stuck in the first step and that is installing xserver-xephyr ( "apt-get install xserver-xephyr" )
sorry if i have many questions, but im really looking forward to developing the N900 : )
