As you all know when the alarm is triggered, a window shows up with the "Snooze" and "Stop" buttons. I found in the hard way that if you ignore the window, i.e. don't press any of the buttons, then that particular alarm event is blocked by the window and it will not get triggered afterwards.

Personally, I think this is incorrect behavior, I think the alarm event should assume the behaviour of "Snooze" even when user doesn't react to the alarm window.

What do you think? Should this be consider a bug? I have searched bugzilla and there is no one complaining about the behavior so I figure it's better to ask first...

Hmmm definately a bug. I've been seeing odd behaviour with the alarm as well. Doesn't trigger properly or keeps going well past what I would expect it to go(set to 05:45... was still ringing at 07:15).

I had an instance where the phone was off, an 3 alarms were set, and the alrm sounded, i hit a button, and it asked if i wanted to switch phone on. i didnt put my pin in, fell asleep!, and none of the other alarms went off!

needs more experimenting, but its not really acceptable, as i ended up late for work.

Hi guys, I've searched in Bugzilla and I've found a bug report about that.
The bad new? It's a WONTFIX...
Have a look:

have you read why it has been tagged wontfix? because its only about the fact that alarm plays 4 times and stops. nothing more. so resolution of the bug would be "alarm plays 14 times".

I'll try to reproduce this and file a bug (and paste link here) if I succeed.

Maybe I've misread something, because I can't get to the point.

EDIT: Ok, maybe I've understood. You are saying that our needed solution is "After 4 times playing, assume Snooze", right?
By the way, I'm experiencing only 2 times playing, I've not 4 times cycle...

yes you kind of understood. that bug doesn't mention anything about this issue so it means nothing. the bug doesn't mention a word about alarm blocking.

But don't worry, it's fixed in Maemo 6!

"Also related to this request, in Harmattan the user will be able to define
longer snoozing times - perhaps useful for those with deep dreams." -Quim Gil (Nokia)

how does this post belong here? it is the wrong bug for this issue just to beging with. go to troll-threads to whine, and give working piece to others.
