Lucky I found this Open Source Linux Project for Speech Recognition in Gnome!!!!!

So do you think the Nokia / Maemo Team should port and work on perfecting this technology for the Nokia N900???

Voice dialing would be great. I'm not sure I want to dictate my notes or anything.

It looks like pocketsphinx is what does the heavy lifting (speech to text). The Gnome Voice Control just does the integration with the desktop. I'm trying to find the requirements for pocketsphinx.

I can't say I've had much luck with sphinx on the Linux desktop.

My Aussie Accent never works with American programs

You may want to submit a sample or samples to http://voxforge.org/ if you want to get better support for Aussie accents.
