Hey guys,

Quick question... I was browsing the OVI store for the N900, and all apps available are FREE... Can someone confirm with me that the OVI store can accept paid application?

(If there's someone from Nokia that is monitoring this forum, please advise )

If not can Nokia accept a "LITE" version with integrated payment to unlock to "FULL" version?

Cheers,

At least in videos section there is a megaman episode that has a price set to it, so that would imply pricing works again? Or then they're so lazy they couldn't be asked to remove everything.

I gotta also say I don't actually know why people were able to download stuff for free, might be about the installing phase, so for example a video wouldn't require any installing so shopping is more straight forward.

I think I read somewhere in this forums that you have to talk to Forum Nokia people regarding this. Currently, Nokia is working on a payment system for maemo downloads. But until that materializes out, you would have to get in touch with people at Nokia. Hope this helps...

vkv.raju: Honestly I already send them emails, and it took like FOREVER to get a reply... (we are talking about almost 10 days here...)

So until its ABSOLUTELY necessary, I won't waste my time AGAIN sending them emails... really...

That's why I prefer to call it on this forum, at least I can get straight answers to go forward...

Yeah, just apply for that, still need to wait for being accepted (72 hours...), however, it would be much better and user friendly if I can put my games directly on the OVI store... like on other platform (I won't say which one )

Ovi store did have one paid game angry birds (or extra level for that) in January. They noticed after few hours that people can download it free directly from the ovi repository. They have been trying to fix that since. Sygic navigation software have been waiting from middle of January to get their application to store without any success.

I think it is best to wait until they are able to fix the paid application thing there before you try to get anything there.

For your paypal activated software I think maemo.org repository would be good. I'm not sure however what maemo.org rules says about paid applications.
