I wish I possessed the patience and the skill to program. Tahitibob, if you can get that working, that would be truly awesome! Thanks!

Thanks Tahitibob! This is a great app! It seems to work perfectly, including with recurring events both to and from Google Calendar.

I did notice that I can't add it to the "launcher" applet, to have it display on the tablet's home page, the same problem seems to exist for other programs too, notably those from the sgt-puzzles package. I don't know what the problem might be, and I don't see any similarities between the puzzles and erminig. Not a pressing issue at all, just thought it was worth a mention.

I've got python installed now and am looking forward to installing minimo, I'dd like to confirm that its compatible with OS2007 (its classified as 2006)?

Thanks in advance,

What application are You talking about ? minimo or erminig ?
Erminig works with N800/ITOS2007/Python2.5
I have not enough feedback with N770.

To minimo, in the earlie post indexthis thread I commented that I was going to give both a try

I'm simply quite green with the N800 programs as I've obtained it less than a month ago and haven't had the time to explore it yet (eg. this Is my 3rd message posted from the tablet).

Kindest regards,

On my fresh system (installed python yesterday) the installation failed, pysql had some packages required for the installation are missing. Details show that its: libsqlite, where should I get it?

There must be some undocumented/unknown API there then, because the N800 built-in contacts list can get contacts from your google account (they just have to be put on the quicklist first).

I think the N800 built-in contacts list can get contacts from Google Talk, not from Gmail.
I will check this....

I tested erminig yesterday... It did not work for me...

1) It erased things present only in GPE-Calendar form GPE-Calendar
2) Did not add things only present in Google Calendar to GPE-Calendar

Reading the documentation I've understood that it only downloads events from Google-Cal to GPE-Cal What is the limitation that prevents from complete synching the 2 ?

Is there actually a difference? I may be a bit confused, but it all looks like part of the same global 'google account' to me. I mean, I log in to gmail, then I can either mail or chat with anyone in the contacts list. I found out by accident that everyone I had set to 'always in quick contacts' would be automatically imported to my N800 as soon as I went online. Some of them I had been chatting with in the past, others I had only used for email. In any case I can now either email or chat with them from the N800 (or they can chat or email with me, on the N800).

In the Contacts list on the N800 the gmail accounts do appear as 'Google Talk' contacts, but they're still from my gmail contacts list.. and can be used for anything on the N800, e.g. email or google talk.

EDIT: p.s. All the gmail contacts I'm mentioning above are other gmail accounts, I have not checked if the N800 can import non-gmail contacts.
