this is a nice little light weight app for controlling only selected apps instead of the entire desktop. Would be nice if we can get it working on N900

i already use rdesktop, and am familiar with vnc, but they are not what is being asked for. The give control of the whole desktop, giving you a view of what the desktop sees on your screen.

All that is wanted here is to effectively make the n900 into a mouse, move your finger over the screen, and the mouse will move on the machine you are connected too.

(slightly simplistic view, as it would be nice to have cursor keys, enter, and shortcuts to applications too, but I use the simplistic answer to not give any confusion)

could be good, but no support for N900, does the N800 through a web browser, but I wouldn't be interested in having the web browser as the interface

I just want something that I could use to switch musics on from my pc, or put a video on. Rdesktop would be great for this, but it mutes sound!

Would be so great that I use rdesktop, put music on and while i'm still logged on from my phone, it would still play the music from computers speakers.

Though hmm. Might vnc work as a remote like this? As it doesn't actually require you to log in to your computer. hmm. Can someone tell if it's possible?

Salling clicker is the best there is - it supports both BT and network connections and is scriptable. i hope there will be a way to run it on the N900
