I have installed PIDGIN and put in my account as above and my password, and it won't let me connect.
If I try setting it via the MSN (Haze) and put in the same details, it keeps saying .....Not Signed In.

Just browse to the website http://www.amsn-project.net/maemo-downloads.php using your N900 and click the install button as instructed.
Once installed, the setup is straight forward.

I have successfully installed and uninstalled on my device with no problems.
