starting with wednesday. (still great we have them now, btw. - it's cool to see how fast these seemingly small things adapt only a few hours after the announcement, literally.)
anyway, my bear friend from beloved cornwall, it's nothing but a funny anecdote... i don't believe anyone here reads something into it. it's just one of those phrases that may float around for a while

I've jumped there a couple of times just because I can't really follow all the threads here and there. If it's something really burning you log in IRC and you get to know pretty quick. Praktisch!

That's all right, then. I have enough paranoia about all this for the entire community.
I really, really don't think the IRC chat was meant to b exclusive (or they'd never have let me in!)

Where did this thing about "the people that matter" come from? Sure, there was a chat on IRC last night, in an open channel. I was there (and I certainly don't matter!) It was being discussed fairly freely on twitter, so it wasn't secret or hidden. There's always been an IRC channel associated with this place - it's a good spot to hang out, and by no means secret! I'm not sure who is worried they were left out of what.

My concerns then are the same as they as they are now. Why is it so hard to find archives posted on this forum of these conversations for those whose schedules do not permit participation or for others who chose to "hang out" here instead.

Is it hard? Click on "Community" above, then on IRC on the right. You'll find a link to this wiki page there. Enjoy.
these are the logs of #maemo.
when quim entered the chat on tuesday and invited people to ask questions about meego, he was asked to switch over to #meego (because the people "who matter" were there).
i guess he did, because i didn't find anything meego-related in the log afterwards. so the question is if there's a log for #meego.
