Thought i would spend my lunch break getting my n900 changed to one that can make phone calls without using the speakerphone.. So i got on the tube, got down to regent street, whipped open the ovi maps, spent about half an hour looking for the store, finally saw the nokia sign sticking out, got there and all the windows are blacked out with "watch this space" and doors locked. Am i going crazy, do nokia have a open store in london?!

click this link http://flagship.nokia.com/

Select London and it says the store is open. Maybe they saw you coming and turned the lights off

It's bad when they don't do as expected, for a company the size of Nokia it is very poor.

There were several articles on them closing the store such as http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/07/n...lagship-store/. Seems like they pulled the plug this week as I was there last week and it was open.

You mention only being able to use speaker phone. Is that because of a problem with the ear piece? If so, I had the same problem, hence my visit. They told me to send it in for repair to Nokia. I couldn't be bothered so fixed it myself. Give it a go if you're brave.

Yes i have the same problem, i have considered fixing it myself but i can't bring myself to void the warranty after just 2 months. Maybe there are 2 stores in london, i went to 240 regent street and it was definitely shut, unless there is another entrance the other side of the street or something?!

edit: apologies lscpike i did not read your whole post! so yeah, the store is closed, great!

Nokia Store has closed. Their last day was Sunday 14th February (a coincidence?). I will really miss their presence. It is a big loss to the Nokia fans.

Across the road (literally) now stands the giant apple flagship store in the UK. Offering free internet it has tourists pouring in. Unfortunately people confuse the foot traffic for a wider measure of success.
