The cursor mode fires up every time for me - just a little flick onto the screen is all thats needed.

You can also grab the maps without using any additional software. That's what i did. I just grabbed all the areas i expected to need and put them on the phone, and forgot about it. There's a world of difference between this 32 GB monster and my `99 Visor Deluxe...
And where did you put them in the phone?

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?
