when I try this file hildon-home_0.3.58+0m5_armel.deb. it says that its unable to update 'hildon-home' incompatible application package, and right now i have uninstalled the modified thing version 1.12. so what shall I do--- reinstall it again n then try the above 2 files that u gave.

Edit: I tried installing 1.12 and 1.13. both are installed but when try the hildon home, it says operation failed or unable to update 'hildon-home' incompatible application package.

hildon-home is the same version as installed, so it can only be installed by running as root dpkg -i hildon-home_0.3.58+0m5_armel.deb

looks like you are not in the right folder.
When you put the files in Download, try
sudo gainroot
dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/Downloads/hildon-home_0.3.58+0m5_armel.deb

If you dont want to write so much, use the TAB button in X Terminal like this :
dpkg -i /h[TAB]u[TAB]M[TAB].... should give you dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/.......
