hello !

back in my old highschool days, i used my hp48gx as an IR remote control for my tv or car

it could listen on the ir port and send back the code received from the remote

could we do this with the n900 ?

and could we do it with the fm transmitter ?

my garage door has a radio frequency remote control....

thanks !

Hi rod.rio
i've tried qtirreco, but it doesnt seem to allow anything else than downloading preset remotes from various brands...
what if i cant find mine? (that is the case, unfortunately)
i'd love to do a step by step button by button, send and save to the n900...

OS2008 is an older version of Maemo used by other internet tablets.
N900 uses Maemo 5 also known as fremantle.

The N900 IR port is a transmitter only, not a receiver, so cannot be used to record other remotes.
