I would like to know if an application exist (or can be made) for GPS tracking. I need an app which offline keeps track and when I stop the tracking I can export a file to Google Earth.

I have an motor-cycle and it would be great to keep track of my routes!

Anyone? I allready searched the forums

I already tried mapper but it doesn't support tracking only viewing. Any other ideas?

eCoach should do what you want.

I used this while skiing last month. It works well with lots of route/tracker info saved.

(also, i used 0kb of data all week while using this app)

Last time I used eCoach it did not work in off line mode. That is you needed to have an internet connection. Are you saying that you have it working in off line mode?

Have you worked out how to use this?
I cannot find any information on how or where the log files are stored.

Yes you can use eCoach in offline mode. You need to wait a little longer for it to get a gps lock (up tp 10 mins).

Once you have a lock click Rec and it doesn't matter if the maps don't show up you'll still be able to track your position and import the GPX file to Google Earth.

How did you manage to make your battery last beyond lunchtime with the GPS constantly on?

GPS doesn't use that much battery. You can have it on for a day before you'd need recharging.
