Hmm.. I'd need some help with this. I downloaded the application overnight and installed the assistant on my PC. I followed the instructions - I plugged in my N900 via Mass Storage mode, selected the maps, voices I wanted to install, chose the first drive to copy the folders to on device. When the sync with my N900 was done I ran the "SetupMobileMaps" file to install the app on N900. It installs and I can see it in my application list. When i click on it, it starts to open, but closes right after so I can't even run the application.

I don't have an SD card in my phone - thought 32GB would suffice for the next few months. When I check the File Browser, all my folders are in the root folder. I reinstalled the application on the phone, restarted the device, but still I can't run the application.

Any idea what I should to to make this application work?

Check this link, there's a description http://www.sygic.com/partners/pois.html
The program itself could be found by a Goggle-search. Up to now I didn't test it.

I'm not sure if Sygic wants normal users to import POI's.

P.S.
maybe zdeno. call tell us ?

You could even download POI's from
http://www.poiplaza.com/index.php
There're already UPI files for SYGIV availible

Did you unplugged the USB when you started Sygic after installation?

I'm more than 99,99% sure that what you pay for is the license, not software. And it's the registration/license code received from Sygic upon the payment process is worth those money you've paid. Just keep the code in a safe place and you're good to go

Hope this helps, if it's not enough for you though there's another solution: backup the downloaded exe or zip file and you should be safe.

Yes - just drop them into the relevant map folder (e.g. MyDocs/Maps/gbr for Britain). They'll need to be in UPI format though - I used the OV2UPI Translator 2.9 to convert some TomTom ones I had.

After the files were transferred to N900 I unplugged the device from USB and ran the "SetupMobileMaps" install file on N900.

1. Uninstall the Maps software through app manager.
2. Remove Drive, Maps and Res folders and the DEB file from the N900
3. Connect via USB in mass storage mode
4. Run the assistant again and install it on the internal flash!
5. Disconnect
6. Fire up the DEB file, again through app manager, not dpkg -i
7. Reboot

It should work, if it won't contact Sygic.

It doesn't seem like it has been answered clearly, but when importing your maps from n97 or 5800 does the SW ask for license or how does it work?
