uninstall 0.98.1 and then install new one.

amsn used to suck when i 1st used it, hope it has improved. if you need msn use pecan plugin for conversations, works great

i went to amsn site and they still have 0.98.1.

get msn pican then goto conversations and click send IM and select msn pican and enter details. you should then connect to msn.

Did you hold the blue-arrow button while pressing the letters? As aMSN requires you to hold the button down to get them special characters.

I think this has something to do with N900 being recognized as a normal linux and the program finds there is a new linux version. A small bug from the developer.

For me it works. You'll just have to be patient with it loading, after that it doesnt consume so much resources anymore. They could of always optimized the UI to be much tighter and have less bloat space.

What comes to the webcam... by default the program uses the main camera, however you can change this by selecting from the menu-bar (you have to be signed in).
1. Account - Preferences
2. Select the Others tab, scroll down to the bottom and press "Edit audio and video settings".
3. Press next and you should come to the step 1 with video selection.
4. Now select from "choose your device", omap3/vs6555// (dont worry about the picture not changing)
5. Just press next until your done.
6. Press webcam button in a conversation and it should work (atleast it does for me!).

Dunno if theres info posted on this somewhere else.

I just tried aMSN for the first time and uninstalled it in few mins due to varies bugs and issues. When I first signed on, it opened 20+ windows of people requiring authorization to be added to my buddy list (even though I was signed on MSN on computer and had no such notifications) and once I was finally able to close them, my N900 was crawling and I had to literally wait for minutes before anything happened.

I had to force shutdown the device and uninstall aMSN as soon as it rebooted.
