Hi,
Everynow and then my desktop freezes and I cannot use the widgets or shortcuts. I can still use the task switcher in the top left to get to an application and I can still get the menu with options for going online/offline, switching 2g/3g/dual etc. so it's just the desktop...
I am linux-friendly (although not an expert), my fedora based memories tell me that I might need to restart X ?
Thanks,
Ben

Sorry for this obvious answer but my basic instinct tells me to restart the device? can try by taking off battery and sim.

There are three programs, each with its own quirky behaviour. Try any combination of the three commands until you see what works for you:
Code:killall hildon-desktop killall hildon-home killall hildon-status-menu
