I seem to be unable to view videos from youtube as it says that a java applet is not enabled or I need flashplayer installed. Can anyone help me out on this? I went to Adobe's website to try and install flashplayer from there but was unsuccessful.

In case of both the Nokia N800 and the Nokia 770, Java and Flash support is not really much to talk about. They ( Flash and Java) work but to a very meagre extent. Although the newer OS for N800 seems to be doing wonders for it, it is still pretty much a moot point as to how well it works on Nokia 770.

regarding youtube, the semi.solution i used to use is:
1. copy the link of the video you plan to watch from the browser
2. open youtubex.com (note the X at the end!) in a new window.
3. paste the link you copied
4. save the flv video somewhere on your MemCard (it will have a size in a range of 10-20MB!!)
5. open Mplayer, and wait until your new video pops up in the list.
6. Click Play in Mplayer, and wait like 5-10 secs to open the flv. file.

ok, now the problem I have: the audio is really out of sync in case of all videos,
and the menu option to change the audio delay of mplayer, just does not work.
I do use an mplayer version from maybe may?

my question: is there a solution to this audio out-of-sync problemo?
thnx, chrs, mrn

There is also a piece of software called UKTUBE out there, which handles the phases 2 to 6 for you. And you can even start watching the video before it is fully downloaded.

UKTUBE requires python2.5 & MPlayer and is currently bundled with media player UKMP, which acts also as a frontend to MPlayer.
