I was afraid of that (xandros). You might consider installing ubuntu or Linux Mint or some other OS recommended at
http://forum/eeeuser.com
Xandros has a bad reputation.

I am waiting in the airport, will take a good look at mint once home.
anyway, N900 currently does not have much goin on
I did make a ubuntu boot on a finger flash drive in the past and it has been working forever.
As I alluded to in earlier post, I did not learn too much about the eeePC and there is thus some phobia. I installing mint is NOT like installing mer on N8x0 :
