just was wondering why it constantly goes wrong on my cell?

On another kernel from you the Ideal worked great for me...

What do you suggest on trying...
I just want a bit more speed and better battery life
I don't know if you have tried it.. but to reset to the default settings before you swap kernels. Might be something there?

Flashing only the kernel on my N900 has solved the problem. It's booting normally again.

@titan, I will follow the link you posted. Thanks!

Just to give some feedback to the lastest kernel.
I'm using Titans Kernel, MAEMO25, with the stock IDEAL kernel settings (Min. Freq and Max. Freq).
I'm running it two days, all good, no corrupted images or files, no strange reboots or issues.

ADD-ON to OC:
With Queen Beecons Widget, i've just create some scripts that should be usefull. With them, we can:

-Reboot the phone
-Get ride of the reset of Min. Freq. to 125\250 Mhz issue after a phone call
-See the Min. and Max. Freqs. we have applied on the moment.
-Change Max. Freq. to 900 Mhz or 1000 Mhz if we want for moments more power, and then we can go back to 850 Mhz.
-See the current Temperature
-See the current Battery %
-Avoid Freqs. and see them (I'm just working with 500 Mhz; 700 Mhz; 850 Mhz).

Just leave here my last desktop configuration:

Thanks for trying to help...

I went from default to the ideal version.
Nothing changes if I do it from root and x-terminal.
I have to reboot and that's when the problem start...

I have updated to kernel-power-flasher and also installed kernel-power-settings. Rebooted and all is ok except, if I go to settings, About, it shows N900 <unknown> and version: <unknown>

I know these issues were addressed earlier in the thread but with so many pages, trying to find the fix might be time consuming. Is there a simple solution to fix About information?

The reason I want to fix this is so that I can use Nokia updater when PR1.2 is released.

Then, make it run every boot, and it's done!
I tried this and put the code the command field but when I save and run it says no output

ive been busy the whole morning trying to flash my N900 with titan's kernel.
about a week ago i ran the zImage 900MHz kernel. but atm i have the default kernel.

what commands do i have to execute to install titan's kernel?
ive tried installing the kernel-power-flasher and kernel-power-settings , but after that my N900 just went from 500MHz to 850MHz. only these frequencies. i want my N900 to go to 125MHz when idle, and run at like 900MHz when busy.

Just a question.

I am using a ultra low voltage kernel from Lehto running 800 MHz. I think I am experiencing that it uses more battery power (when using the N900 like web browsing) than the standard 600 MHz kernel with higher voltage. Can that be correct???
Should it not approximately use the same amount of battery power???
