The I am here application is a very clever little Python (?) script that take photos from the front and rear camera, and sends Email and SMS messages with the GPS locaiton of your phone without the user ever knowing that it has been done. Very useful if your phone gets lost or stolen.

It simply lets you know where your phone is, via imagery and GPS positioning.

You need to run the Python scripts after downloading the Python plug-ins. Read the post HERE, but be aware, this app is in the extras-devel repository and as such could potentially have undesirable side-effects.... Although it would seem a lot of people are using it and there are no complaints......

You will need to enable the extras-devel repository in your application manager, by adding a new catalogue.

Catalogue name: Extras-Devel
Web Address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free

BUT BE AWARE: Apps in devel can brick your device, do not enable and go massively downloading everything unless you are prepared to suffer pain, which eventually will come!

It is written in C++ and the source code has not been released yet, which would be pretty crusial for this kind of program which allow remote access to the device by many methods.
https://garage.maemo.org/projects/imhere/
Author has promised to release the source code though, but haven't seen it yet. I cannot install this kind of program because policy reasons before the source code is open.

"The software hosted in extras-devel is not ready for normal users!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't play with it unless you really know what you are doing. Be ready to file proper bug reports instead of posting complaints".

1) When you set it up (once you first installed it) you had to set a configuration password.

You need to send a text to yourself just saying that password and that will automatically start that config again.

If you've forgotten your password, speak to the developer as I believe he has alternative ways to recover it

2) Again when you set it up, you had to specify a deactivation password and you need to text that to your phone
