Hello
for my first post on this website, I seek differences between the performance of the N900 and those of the emulator, with scratchbox for example.
Let me explain, we work on high-level 3D applications, greedy power. for the moment, I did my tests only on the emulator, N900 failed to deliver, and I'm afraid to have some surprises when I have my tablet.
So, the emulator is running applications on the CPU of the computer or there is a limitation resembling N900.

Thank you for your help and sorry for my english …

And this what I always say that the _X86 SDK+Xephyr is not an emulator!

What did you try exactly? I didn't understand if you're complaining about SDK 3D performance or device performance. :P

I seek to bring an application that requires OpenSceneGraph (GLES2) and QT. for now I'm testing on the emulator, so it's rather about performance of the phone, CPU, RAM, hardware acceleration .. .
If my application is fluid on the emulator, she will be also on the phone!?

Depends on the hardware where your scratchbox is running.

What "emulator"? Are you using Madde, the Qt SDK, or Scratchbox?

If you're using Scratchbox and Xephyr, it's most probably using a software renderer, and then the N900 might be a bit faster depending on your system. If you're using MADDE, it's most probably using your actual 3D hardware so it will be many times faster than the real N900.
