What i see in Nokia right now is delayed!
Nokia's ambition is to targeting Asian country like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and india. I think Nokia will have to do it this way to get more market and more developer into their MeeGo project. Also to grey scale the markets. Why you may ask.!

Because Nokia is loosing moneys on N900 and if people can just importing N900 from USA to use in their country then they will be losing a good amount of valuable market share and money. While Nokia released the N900 in Hong Kong, people like us here can't get the update, which meant people in Hong Kong have to get he device in their country to get the latest update and chinese support. Otherwise they can just get a cheaper device from the USA right? Sp i'm guessing PR1.2 won't be out until Nokia sold a good number of N900 in Hong Kong first before releasing it to the rest of the world.

This is my theory only though. i'm Not trying to trolling and spread the FUD at all.

If Chinese ppl start buying the n900 we will soon have someone from over there enlightening us on this forum.

If PR1.2 is finished they will release it soon enough. They might have some problem or unfinished tasks before releasing it. If that is the case i am happy they do not release it early. The update will come when Nokia decides it's ready. I am quite happy with the device as is so for me it doesn't matter if it takes one week or one month.

I don't think the N900's purpose was to generate profit. That is the goal for its mainstream successor.

PR1.2 is ready and released in HK. So i see why would Nokia not releasing it. If it's not ready then why would HK N900 has it preinstalled? If Nokia gone this far already then I am sure PR1.2 is already tested and ripen to consume in every region already.
