I would use:
Code:
df -h
In a terminal to make sure all the right mount points are there.

Thanks guys but I already recovered everything with testdisk. The files were properly gone. My N900's memory was almost empty.

Did any of you guys who also reported having all your media deleted happen to use QtExplorer or any other third party file manager? I'm thinking it might have had something to do with it.

My guess would be an unclean umount of [rant]crippled[/rant] FAT32 led to the disaster (almost). But this testdisk is really useful in situations like this!
Did CuteExplorer crash? Did you kill it while still copying/moving some files. Did you connect the USB or did you some trickery in the terminal at that time?

Well, I remember it crashing while I was copying a file but I don't remember if that was the direct cause.
