btw, I did read one craigslist add a while back that said it was the chinese (not the new hong kong) n900...if this is what this guy is selling how will I know?

no. this won't be a genuine nokia n900. they have similar ads all over craigslist.

don't get scammed! don't even communicate with them is my advice regarding the matter.

thanks, since I specifically asked if it was a genuine Nokia, I doubt I will even get a response.

Ive seen ads for these chinese rip offs they dont even have a touch screan and something like 256mb total memory, its like a copy of a n900 case with the cheapest shite you can imagine inside it.

If it looks too good to be true then it is too good to be true!

I was once scammed in such thing for N96. Atleast here its only 150, I spent 500 and ended up with chinese ****. He can even respond saying its genuine as in my case they did and later the whole site vanished.

what exactly does "on black list" mean?

I buy the phone and somehow it will not connect or cannot get updates?

or does that mean everyone here will hate me and blacklist me for getting a killer deal on a stolen phone (just kidding I wouldn't touch stolen property).

Phones reported stolen will have their IMEI blacklisted, making them unusable.
