ive installed the kernel power settings....only problem is what are the commands to access it? I have searched google for a while but all I keep getting is posts referring to overclocking, or to this 1or to download the file.
Can anyone please help?

You could improve the usefulness of the first post for novice users by adding a short description next to every item about what's intended for.

Something like:

1. Install fMMS -> For sending/receiving mms.

I would also separate clearly which are the absolutely must items from the additional ones, even more if they are potentially dangerous.

There is a very easy way to 100% improve a N900 (am probably going to get kicked for this one ha) simple flash with the leaked fw.

Fortunately it does seem that people are generally having a positive experience, what's still unknown is how the process to upgrade to the release version will go for 'early adopters'

Yes and a very valid point so let's just hope Nokia have not done anything to stop the valid update over the non valid. But i think they have enough problems without causing anymore perhaps ha.

They sure have delayed the new fw for a good while. I think it would be best to avoid the leaked update considering when the official 1 is round the corner (or at least I hope so!)

No reason really to avoid the leaked fw because the difference is astronomical as many many fix'es have been taken care of, its just a short version of the much awaited official release but i would like to know your opinion to hold back from flashing the leaked fw.

Well as you've said yourself that there isn't much difference or issues with it other than the fact that its the shorter version of the official 1. In that case I would still rather wait for the full whopper rather than installing the leaked 1 as the official 1 shouldn't be long now before its available and I would rather have the full thing.
