When I attempt to stream music off the site I get a file type not supported error. I was under the impression that it streams through a flash file and the N800 supported this.

Anyone have any ideas?

Same thing happens with the Sirius player. I believe both use Java, something sorely missing from the N800.

Perhaps someone with the skills will produce a Sirius and/or XM player for the N800 (like the Sirius Yahoo Widget player or the WM5Player for Windows Media 5 phones). Personally, I'd LOVE to see that.

Ah well that makes sense.. Sometimes i wonder how the decisions are made to leave things like this out of a new product...

I think the interface is flash but the player itself is windows media player. i believe some kind of protected stream is used. I had to install a wmv plugin on my mac before i could play the xm streams.

I'm a prospective N800 owner and I'm curious...

Sorry, doesn't work...just tried it. It can load the page and change channels and show and update all channel and song info, but the media stream gives an error in the standard media player app.

Best bet right now for XM or Sirius is to use uXM or uSirius. It involves a little setup, but they both work great, I listen to both on my N800.
