Any advice on finding a battery replacement for the n800? I know that there have been posts on this but using the search utility, nothing comes up.

Nokia warns that you should not use anything but their official battery. The model number is BL-4B. This battery is also used by Nokia 7370, 7373, and the N76. The battery supplies 3.7 volts and provide .7 AH. Nokia charges $40 in the US but I can find "comparable' batteries for much less.

Suggestions?

The N800 and 770 take the BP-5L battery. Who in Nokia gave you the BL-4B specification?

Compatible Batteries are sold trough ebay, sometimes for less then 10$, but as Nokia warns it is very risky to try cheap Li-ion-batteries, because they can get very hot and even start burning sometimes....
The capacity, comapared to well made batteries, is also very poor.

@rhackenb: Take note of what Karel said: The battery is BP-5L, _not_ BL-4B.
