Impressive answer. But what that means? I'm new in here so I don't know all habits on this forum, but your post IMHO is rubbish. Is that kind of behaviour normal here?

Would you please show us some screenshots and explain how it works. Does it show some extra menu? Do you have to use ussd? And so on...

Thanks for the video; so if I understand correctly you can use a dual sim adapter, but you must have a Symbian phone to activate to work, and then put it in you N900.
Can you change the name of both sim cards thru the Custom Operator Widget?
So then all we need is a script/app that could allow us to change cards on some time interval, ie. every 65min. activate card number two; then 60min. later revert back to card one.

edit: So it won't work unless it is activated by another phone most likely Symbian. Correct?

Hi; really isn't necesary a symbian phone, because magic SIM is a lot of compatibiliyties, you can see the web to search one model works.
The custom operator only permit one name for both cards. in theory the magic sim can change by time, but i don't use this option.
Finally you need preactivate in other mobile, correct.

Ok cool, just out of curiousity, what kind of time frames are possible?

But their aren't too many phones that have the ability/software for sim services?

The times i think is posible for a maximum of 99 minutes for each one, but you can put different times, example. 15-90, 25-99, 99-99...

The sim software is on the MagicSIM, it install this software on the phone, but it isn't ready for maemo. For these reason you need other phone.

Thanks to Bioepi for the comments and vid.

I purchased magicsim 23th-A on ebay and have set up using Nokia N81 as per Bioepi's instructions. In the N900 it does switch sim's and connect to to Telstra and Optus GSM networks in Australia, although I can confirm that it does NOT work with Optus' 3G network, though I guess it is possible that the adaptor I purchased is faulty.

For those wanting to give this a crack but are put off by cutting sim card's - don't be. I was initially nervous about doing this but found it quite easy.
